Well, we’ve found our dream house. It’s got everything that we’re looking for and more, and it’s in our price range and a good neighborhood! Unfortunately, yet again we’re going to be engaging in a bidding war.
Well, Brandon and I are back out on the house hunting trail this weekend. This time with the help of our Realtor, Jeremiah Huyett from Kellerman Real Estate.
We got started Thursday right after I got off work looking at 7 different places. By the time 8:45 rolled around, we’d found two places that we’re pretty interested in. And we’ve got a couple of others that we’ll look at tomorrow … I’m pretty excited about our options!
Well, the “New House 2008″ search continues on! We learned early Friday that our bid was not accepted. I really expected that Brandon and I would be disappointed, but we weren’t.
I Hate the Waiting Game

Four days after Brandon and I scrambled to get an offer in on that house, and we still haven’t heard anything! We knew the lawyer was going to be out of town until Thursday (today), but we had expected to hear something today. I guess there was some delay due to the bad weather that’s hit the region lately… what can you do?
Well, you know that house I said that we’d driven by like a dozen times? We just made an offer!
Another House Hunting Weekend

Brandon and I will be hitting the open house circuit again this weekend, looking at a couple of other houses that have been on our list. We’re really excited about one on Collins. We’ve probably driven by it a dozen times.
The house hunting went well this weekend. We ended up seeing 6 houses, each with their own unique traits and interesting neighborhoods. Although one house really stood out of the pack, Brandon and I are looking forward to seeing other options that didn’t have open houses scheduled this weekend.
Even though we’re keeping our options open, I think we’ve definitely started narrowing in more on what we’re looking for:
1. In Topeka. The houses we saw outside the Topeka city limits were nice, but it was quite a drive to get to them. I don’t want to make that drive twice a day to and from work. Especially with gas near $4 a gallon.
