27 Weeks Belly
I’m definitely getting bigger. It’s starting to become a chore to tie my shoes or to bend over for any reason. And getting out of the car is starting to become a production – pull both legs out of the car firmly planted on the ground, grabbing the top of the door and pulling myself up. It should be quite the comedy act by the time I get to 8 1/2 months. It might become a YouTube sensation.
The baby is starting to move on a pretty regular basis. I can feel him in there going through little workouts several times a day. The other day Brandon had his head pressed up against my belly trying to listen for the heartbeat, and got kicked in the head. He said it sounded like a little pop.
I’m starting to get tired again. So far it’s not really affected me at work, but I’m going to bed really early each night … in fact, it’s about that time. : )

Get it Over with Already
I’m so over this election.
Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s important and will forever go down in the history books, but we’ve been hearing about it non-stop for almost 10 straight months now. I’m getting a little burnt out.
Technically, the election is over for me. I voted by mail and sent off my completed ballot last Monday. But the candidates don’t know that. They keep sending me campaign junk mail and filling the airwaves of the shows I watch with campaign commercials.
At least it ends soon.

24 Weeks Belly
Carrying the baby has been a roller coaster this week!
Things started off on a bad foot, literally … for 3 straight days I had constant cramping in my right calf and hamstring, accompanied by pain in my tailbone. Walking was painful, sitting was uncomfortable and sleeping involved a night full of leg cramps.
Then Brandon picked up a maternity support belt – instant relief. It took about a day or so for the leg cramping to go away, but my back immediately felt better.
That same night, I was able to feel the baby move for the first time. I guess LBS didn’t care for the additional pressure the band was putting on my belly, so he was trying to kick it off. Rebellious already. : )
After feeling a few strong kicks, I had Brandon come over and put his hand on my belly hoping he’d be able to feel one. Sure enough, within a few seconds Brandon felt a tiny push. His face lit up and he asked, “Are you sure you’re not doing that?”
I also had a doctor’s appointment this week. Overall it went pretty well, the doctor said the baby’s growth is right on schedule and his heartrate was 157 bmp. Right now the baby is about the size of a #10 envelope and weighs about a pound and a half.
