The New A-Sheley.com

Welcome to my new site!  After having a steady presence on the internet for the last 2 years, I decided it was time for a updated look to compliment my growing artistic style and a new format to allow more interaction with my visitors.  Thanks to the help of my website-guru husband, Brandon, my new site is finally live!
The goal of my blog is to give visitors an insider’s view into my art-world.  To go beyond listing the shows I have coming up, or the new artwork I have created.  I will share my thoughts on the things going on in my studio (. . . or sometimes not going on), regional art happenings, and my life as an artist.  Visitors are able to easily respond and interact with the site after you have logged in.

So please take a little time to look around, and if you can, give me your thoughts on the new look!

It's for Sale

With the new website, I’ve added prices* to all of the artwork available so people can make purchases online. I accept cash, check, Paypal and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express). A discount is available for multiple purchases. I will deliver or arrange for shipping.

If you are interested in purchasing a piece of my artwork, please email me: alissa@a-sheley.com or call 785.271.5234.
All of the paintings are original works of art created by me. They are conservation framed with black, glossy metal frames and are ready to hang on the wall. Each painting has been treated with UV-resistant finish to prevent fading.
*Please note that tax and shipping are not included in the prices listed.

2006 Lawrence Holiday Art Fair – A Success!

Lawrence Holiday Art FairThanks to the “husband-of-the-year” efforts made by Brandon, I was able to exhibit artwork at this year’s Lawrence Holiday Art Fair at the Lawrence Art Center on Saturday, December 2. The Holiday Art Fair is an annual show put on by the Lawrence Art Guild featuring original artwork created by local artist.

After being stuck at home sick for two weeks, I had admitted defeat and realized I wasn’t going to be able to muster the strength or stamina to do a show, let alone install & remove it. Two days before the event my husband volunteered to do the whole thing by himself. Thanks to that effort we sold a painting and I got invited to do a solo show at the Lawrence Public Library in August of 2007.
