Arizin Artist at the 2006 Kansas State Fair

Alissa was unanimously selected by fair officials as the Arizin Artist for this year’s Kansas State Fair. As the Arizin artist, Alissa was a guest of honor at the Boots and Bling event featuring Kansas Wine, Cheese, and Art. Twenty other artists joined Alissa exhibiting their artwork for display and auction. The event was located in Dillon Hall at the Encampment Building in Hutchinson on September 7.

Alissa’s painting was auctioned off to the highest bidder, raising over $1,000 dollars for the House of Capper. Fellow Topekan artist, Robert Ault, and Lawrence artist, Stan Herd, also had paintings sell for over $1,000.

Eight pieces of Alissa’s artwork were on display in the Administration building for the duration of the fair, September 8-17.
